Overview
The Air Permeability Tester is a fully automated testing instrument controlled by a high-performance microcomputer system. It is designed to measure the air permeability of paper, cardboard, and related materials used in industries such as papermaking, packaging, and cigarette manufacturing. The equipment supports multiple internationally recognized test methods including Schober, Bendtsen, and Gurley, ensuring reliable and standardized results.
The testing principle is based on the differential pressure method. During testing, the prepared sample is placed between two measuring surfaces where a constant pressure difference is created. Under this pressure difference, air flows through the sample from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side. The instrument calculates the air permeability based on the airflow rate, pressure difference, and test area, providing accurate evaluation of material porosity and permeability.
