Overview
The Laboratory Pulping Unit (Oil Bath Type) by QGI is a compact and precision-engineered system designed for controlled laboratory pulping of wood chips and fibrous raw materials. This advanced laboratory digester enables researchers and pulp technologists to conduct chemical pulping experiments under accurately controlled temperature, pressure, and cooking conditions, making it an essential instrument for pulp and paper research laboratories.
The system is equipped with six acid-resistant stainless steel autoclaves, each having a capacity of 2.5 liters, suitable for processing approximately 300 grams of oven-dry wood chips per batch. These autoclaves rotate uniformly within a heated glycol oil bath, ensuring consistent heat transfer and uniform cooking of raw materials. The rotation is powered by a heavy-duty geared motor, which provides smooth and continuous movement for reliable pulping results.
Designed for high laboratory performance, the QGI Lab Pulp Digester includes a digital temperature indicator and programmable controller, allowing operators to maintain precise cooking temperatures during the pulping cycle. The system can operate at temperatures up to 200°C and pressures up to 15 kg/cm², making it suitable for a wide range of chemical pulping studies and process development work.
To maintain stable operating conditions, the equipment also includes a glycol cooling water circulation system, along with a temperature sensor and pressure monitoring gauge for enhanced operational safety and accuracy. Additional features such as a fume hood, oil drainage valve, and centralized control panel ensure easy operation and safe handling of the pulping process.
All parts that come in contact with pulp and chemicals are manufactured from acid-proof stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long service life in demanding chemical pulping applications.
