Overview
The TAPPI Sheet Former is a precision laboratory instrument designed for producing 200 cm² circular hand sheets from pulp suspensions. These sheets are used for evaluating physical and optical properties such as strength, bulk, formation, and brightness in pulp and paper testing laboratories. The equipment is engineered in compliance with internationally recognized standards such as TAPPI T 205 and follows design principles endorsed by the Technical Section of the British Paper & Board Making Association.
Its advanced drainage system features an anti-swirl baffle design, eliminating vortex formation during water drainage and ensuring uniform fibre distribution across the wire. This results in exceptionally even and reproducible hand sheets, closely simulating commercial sheet formation conditions.
