Overview
The Automatic Fiber Length Classifier by QGI is an advanced laboratory testing instrument developed to accurately evaluate the fiber length distribution in pulp samples. This precision equipment is widely used in paper mills, pulp manufacturing plants, and research laboratories to analyze pulp characteristics, monitor refining efficiency, and assess fiber separation performance during the paper production process.
Designed for reliable and convenient operation, the QGI Fiber Classifier features an automatic control system with a sequence timer, which stops the testing cycle once the preset time is completed. This automated operation ensures consistent testing conditions, improved repeatability, and reduced operator intervention. The system allows laboratories to quickly obtain detailed information about fiber classification, helping manufacturers improve pulp quality and optimize refining parameters.
Each pulp chamber is equipped with a cylindrical agitator fitted with short paddles, creating a uniform horizontal pulp flow across the mesh screen for effective fiber separation. The equipment also includes a spring-loaded screen clamping system, a convenient drain control lever, and suction cups for efficient pulp collection and handling.
The first tank is fitted with a regulated water inlet system integrated with a flow meter, along with low and high flow alarm indicators to maintain proper testing conditions. The final tank is connected to an overflow outlet for controlled water discharge, while a vacuum suction pump system ensures rapid removal of excess water for efficient fiber classification.
For easy maintenance and quick cleaning during operation, the system includes a built-in hand shower arrangement that helps remove pulp residues from mesh screens and tanks. All tanks operate in a cascade configuration and are mounted on a robust stainless steel frame, with a base tank provided for collecting overflow water.
