Overview
The QGI Hydra Pulper is a high-performance pulp defibration unit designed for efficient disintegration of dry pulp samples into a uniform fiber suspension. It is widely used in paper mills, pulp testing laboratories, and research centers for preparing pulp samples prior to testing. The system tears, soaks, and mixes pulp with water to produce a consistent and homogeneous slurry, ensuring reliable laboratory analysis and quality control.
Engineered with a specially designed rotor/impeller assembly mounted at the bottom of the pulping container, the unit delivers powerful and uniform fiber dispersion. The rotor is driven through a timing belt system located in the lower housing for stable and efficient operation.
The motor can be optionally equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) for adjustable rotational speed, allowing precise control over pulping intensity and processing conditions. The standard operating consistency range is 3% to 5%, suitable for most laboratory pulp preparation requirements.
