Overview
The Pulp Consistency Tester is a precision laboratory instrument designed for the quick determination of pulp or stock consistency in pulp and paper testing applications. It enables accurate measurement of fiber concentration in pulp suspension, ensuring effective process control and quality assurance. The measured pulp stock is poured onto the grid plate and drained under suction. When equipped with an optional vacuum pump, the system rapidly removes excess water, forming a pulp sheet for precise consistency evaluation. The filtration process is repeated until the filtrate becomes clear, ensuring reliable and repeatable results.
After drying and weighing the formed sheet, the pulp consistency is calculated with high accuracy, supporting laboratory analysis and production monitoring.
Designed in alignment with recognized pulp testing practices such as TAPPI T 240, this apparatus ensures standardized and dependable measurements.
